Terms of Use
Last updated: 13 October 2026
These terms govern your use of flexyfiles.com (the “site” or “service”), operated by FlexyFiles (“we”, “us”). By using the site you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
1. The service
The site provides free online tools to upload, organise and process documents — for example merging, splitting, reordering, compressing, converting, watermarking and password-protecting PDF files — in a temporary private workspace. The service is free of charge and is funded by advertising. No account is needed.
2. Who may use it
You must be at least 16 years old, or the age of digital consent in your country, to use the site. If you use it on behalf of an organisation, you confirm that you are authorised to accept these terms for it.
3. Your files
- You keep all rights to the files you upload. You give us only the limited permission needed to store and process them to provide the operations you request, and to delete them afterwards.
- You are responsible for your files and confirm that you have the right to upload and process them, and that doing so does not infringe anyone's rights or break any law.
- Workspaces are temporary: files are deleted automatically 48 hours after the workspace was last used, and you can delete them earlier. The site is not a storage or backup service. Keep your own copies of anything important.
- Anyone with your workspace link can open the workspace. Keep it private.
- Results are produced automatically. Check them before relying on them, especially for documents with legal or financial significance. Compression can reduce image quality, and some interactive features of a PDF (such as forms, links or digital signatures) may not survive processing.
4. Acceptable use
You must not use the site to:
- upload or process content that is illegal, including child sexual abuse material, content that infringes copyright or other intellectual property rights, or personal data you have no lawful basis to process;
- upload malware or files designed to harm the service or other users;
- attempt to access workspaces, data or systems that are not yours, or to bypass security or usage limits;
- overload the service, including by automated bulk use, scraping or automated requests outside normal browser use;
- remove copy protection from documents you are not entitled to unlock, or otherwise break the law.
We may block access, delete files or report illegal content to the authorities when we reasonably believe these terms or the law have been broken.
5. Limits and availability
Usage limits apply (for example file size, storage per workspace, number of files and pages per operation) and may change. We aim to keep the site available but do not guarantee that it will be uninterrupted, error-free or available at any particular time. We may change, suspend or discontinue any feature at any time.
6. Advertising
The site shows advertising from Google and other partners. Ads are provided by third parties and we are not responsible for their content or for the websites they link to. See our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy for how advertising uses data and how to manage your choices.
7. Our rights
The FlexyFiles name and logo, the site's design, software and texts belong to us or our licensors and are protected by law. You may use the site for its intended purpose, but you may not copy, modify, resell or reverse engineer the service, or use our name or branding without permission.
8. Disclaimer
The service is provided free of charge, “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy of results and non-infringement, to the fullest extent permitted by law.
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for any loss of data, files, profits or business, arising from your use of or inability to use the site. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, such as liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud, and nothing affects your statutory rights as a consumer.
10. Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal data and files, and forms part of these terms.
11. Changes
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the current version. If you keep using the site after a change, the new terms apply.
